Dancing Through Life...

One of the many joys of being the Carolina's most elite and ONLY exclusive Ballroom and Latin dance studio, is the opportunity to share in some of life's most precious moments with people. Young men and women who are begining a lifelong journey in marriage to one another, couples who are celebrating a milestone along that walk, those who have survived life-threatening obstacles, don't want to waste another minute sitting on the sidelines, and are ready to really enjoy and experience life--they all come to DanceSport Carolina to experience its magic and joy and learn to dance! As a company, we are blessed to be able to Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, ChaCha, and Swing through some of life's greatest (and worst) moments and to teach others to do the same. Dancing through life with some of the most wonderful people in the world(our staff and students!!) is a joy and a priviledge that comes with being the most sought after Ballroom and Latin dance studio in the Carolina's, a joy and priviledge that is at the heart of all that we do, and the heart of everyone who is part of the incredible Team DSC!

Class and Character

DanceSport Carolina's Elizabeth just published an article for planetballroom.com on keeping focused on the positive during the competition preparation process. Here at DSC, while we value good dancing, intense training, and dedication; above all, we value sportsmanship, conduct, and experiencing life's joy's through dance. We have always taken pride in the fact that we walk away from events not only laden with trophies, plaques, and medals, but with other studio owners, judges and pro's endless praise on the spririt of our school. While we can't put the ladder in our front lobby, make not mistake that it matters to us more than any prize ever could. We are firm believers that this spirit and code of conduct comes from the top down. From Thomas and Elizabeth's early days in the industry, to the way their staff is trained, and therefore, trains their students, there are two common trends: class and character. They were Tom and Elizabeth's legacy before DSC, and are as much a part of DSC's foundation as the bricks and mortar in which we dance! The South East's Most Sophisticated & Glamorous Ballroom Dance Event Comes to Charlotte!

The Ritz-Carlton is known world-wide for its unsurpassed attention to detail, white-glove treatment and customer service, and over-all image of class and sophistication. Sunday, September 26th, join DanceSport Carolina and other studios from across the south east at the Cosmopolitan Classic! A full-day dance event for everyone from beginers just getting their feet wet, to more seasoned competitors who are looking to take home a prestigious title! A sister event to the fabulous Southern Paradise Ball, the Cosmopolitan Classic promises to bring the perfect balance of prestige and competitiveness, glamour and sophistication; while at the same time, being a fun and friendly event where even the most novice of dancers will feel comfortable! The day's events culminate with a formal, sit-down dinner, high caliber Pro-Am and (much to the delight of the students) Pro Championships! Whether you are looking to experience this unique event as a dancer or spectator, one thing is for sure, it's an experience too rich to miss!
