DanceSport Carolina's 2010 Holiday Showcase & Ball: "Dancing in a Winter Wonderland" was a night of celebration and joy for DSC students and teachers alike. Held at Grand Central dinner theater in uptown Charlotte; students, their families, and friends, walked a paparazzi-infested red carpet to their five-course, sit-down dinner and professional show!The show opened with DSC owner Elizabeth Malvasia and her student dancing a dedication to our country's men and women in uniform. As stated by Elizabeth in the show's opening remarks: "these men and women give us all the ultimate gift each and every day: our freedom". The opening number was followed by exhibition after exhibition of powerful, energetic, and passionate dancing! While spectators enjoyed the show from VIP booths and formal dining room seating, standing ovations were abundant!
At the night's conclusion, gracious accolaids could be heard resonating the elegant setting as dancers and spectators commended the incredible show and luxe accomodations. One dancer, no stranger to what is standard in the ballroom industry for showcases, was blown away by DSC's overwhelmingly professional show and venue. It was truly a magical night for all who attended!
